A warm welcome to all, and a hearty apology to you for not posting for a while. I will get onto why in just a second.

Let me say right now that yes, I live in England and yes, I am well aware of the riots. But I will not be talking about these, because it is all I have heard about for the past few days and it has made me somewhat melancholy – so to avoid making myself and you faithful readers depressed at the apparent temporary collapse of society, I am chosing to ignore them and regail you with lighter fair.

A couple of days ago I decided to finally go and buy a few games that I have been eyeing for a while but had not yet purchased – Borderlands, Bioshock and Bioshock 2 (aha, I hear you say, so that’s the logic behind your clever title).

My girlfriend has been playing through Bioshock for a bit while I’ve been at work, but I haven’t seen much of the game thus far. Borderlands is the game of the week so far, as we have been playing split-screen for the past few days – indeed, this is where my time has been spent rather than writing posts for you, for which I apologise again. I’m playing as a Siren character (although I have a Sniper that I solo with) and my girlfriend is playing the Sniper.

We are both loving the game, which bodes well because I fully intend on getting the sequel which was recently announced. I think it was actually the announcements of the next installments in the Bioshock and Borderlands series’ that galvanised me into buying these games in the first place.

Have you been playing either of these series? Let me know what you think, and feel free to fill me in on your experiences and advice about what other various games to get. For now, I’ve got some bandits to set on fire with my incendiary SMG.

  1. Borderlands is one of my favorite games! I’m super excited for the sequel to hit stores. I don’t know how far you are in the game, but once you get to the content updates, you are going to have a lot of fun fighting in the clap trap revolutionaries. πŸ˜€

As for the Bioshocks, I have yet to play either. I do own the first one, but I have other games to play first. I did get the opportunity when it first came out to watch someone play it. Plus, I was told that Bioshock and Silent Hill 2 were rated two of the scariest games of all time, so I suppose that counts for something!

    • Yes. Playing through Bioshock when he’s not home is absolutely terrifying. He’s watched me play a bit and whemever I get so startles I yell (which, to be honest, happens more than it should) he laughs and askd if I’m okay lol.

Write some words.
